West Visayas State University Dominates November 2023 Nursing Board Exam with Topnotcher Criz Vinz Corpus Tomboc

Manila, Philippines – December 3, 2023

In the recently concluded Philippine Nurses Licensure Examination held in November 2023, the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) announced a total of 25,761 successful examinees out of 32,203 who took the exam in 19 testing centers across the country. The results revealed exceptional performances, with particular distinction going to West Visayas State University, whose students not only clinched top spots but also demonstrated an impressive overall competence.

Topping the list of successful examinees is Criz Vinz Corpus Tomboc, an Ilonggo, who secured the highest spot with an outstanding rating of 91.00%. Tomboc’s achievement adds a feather to the cap of West Visayas State University, showcasing the institution’s commitment to producing top-tier nursing professionals.

The Board of Nursing, composed of Hon. Elsie A. Tee (chairman), Hon. Carmelita C. Divinagracia, Hon. Elizabeth C. Lagrito (inhibited), Hon. Zenaida C. Gagno, Hon. Marylou B. Ong, Hon. Merle L. Salvani, and Hon. Leah Primitiva S. Paquiz, oversaw the comprehensive examination process. The board worked diligently to ensure the integrity and fairness of the examination.

Apart from Tomboc’s remarkable achievement, West Visayas State University further solidified its presence in the top ranks, with three more students securing spots in the top 10. Dennyl Marie Chavez claimed the 8th spot with an impressive rating of 89.60%, Pert Henry Mabaquaio secured the 9th spot with a rating of 89.40%, and Jannah Kyra Javelona secured the 10th spot with a rating of 89.20%.
