The Price of Adultery: Husband Shoots Wife’s Lover Caught Red-Handed
ILOILO CITY – A man allegedly caught his wife’s lover in the act of sexual intercourse and shot him in Barangay Ticud, La Paz in the early hours of Monday, March 13, 2023.
According to Police Captain Johnna Aguil, Officer-In-Charge of La Paz Police Station, the husband, a 27-year-old, claimed to have witnessed his wife’s infidelity through a small hole in the door.
He then proceeded to forcefully enter the room, causing the lover to attempt to flee. The husband brandished a firearm and chased the lover, eventually shooting him in the left waist.
Aguil, in a live interview with Radyo Bistado, emphasized that the identities of those involved will remain anonymous in order to protect their privacy and avoid any unnecessary embarrassment.
The wounded lover was immediately taken to Don Benito Hospital and is reportedly in stable condition.
Aguil also stated that only one shot was fired and that no weapon was found at the scene.
The husband and wife have indicated that they do not wish to pursue charges, opting instead to resolve the matter privately for the sake of their children.
