Four Suspects in Paloma Shooting Case Identified and Charged with Frustrated Murder
ILOILO CITY – On April 13, 2023, the four suspects responsible for the shooting of Glen Paloma on March 26, 2023, in Barangay Calaboa, Leganes, Iloilo, have been charged with frustrated murder.
According to an interview with Colonel Rolando Palomo, the Provincial Director of the Iloilo Police Provincial Office, on Radyo Bistado, two of the suspects are active police officers from the ICPO, while another suspect is a security guard named Ricky Giluani, 28, from Barangay Baladay San Remigo, Antique, and the owner of restaurant in Pavia John Ian Leda from Arevalo, Iloilo City. The suspects were identified by Paloma through the presentation of photographs.
Paloma was reportedly robbed in Barangay Aganan, Pavia, while riding his bicycle before being forced into a vehicle and taken to Leganes, where he was beaten and shot by the suspects.
Colonel Palomo also stated that they are waiting for the approval of the Regional Director of PRO6 to release the names of the two active police officers from the ICPO involved in the crime.
Paloma is currently under police protection for his safety in case the suspects attempt to retaliate.
