Police Seize Php340,000 Worth of Shabu and Firearms in Iloilo Drug Bust

ILOILO CITY – A joint operation conducted by the Iloilo Police Provincial Office and other law enforcement units resulted in the arrest of five individuals, including a high-value drug personality, and the seizure of Php340,000.00 worth of shabu and unlicensed firearms in Barangay Bongloy, Dingle, Iloilo on the morning of April 14.

According to reports, the operation was carried out by the Dingle Station Drug Enforcement Team, led by PCPT Aileen M Lacrite, together with the IPPO-PDEU, IPPO PIU, 2nd IPMFC, RIU6, and the Philippine Coast Guard Intelligence Group – Western Visayas.

The suspects were identified as Donnie Benecio, Peter Paul Benecio, Don Christian Benecio, Rico Benecio, and Rouie Pelaez. All of them were apprehended and are currently in police custody.

The operation also led to the confiscation of at least 50 grams of shabu with a standard drug price of Php340,000.00, four unlicensed firearms, and several non-drug items.

The Iloilo Police Provincial Office director, PCOL Ronaldo P Palomo, commended the joint effort of the law enforcement units involved and congratulated the Ilonggo cops and personnel who conducted the successful buy-bust operation.
