Rubio and Gonzales Deny Involvement in Paloma’s Alleged Killing: Will Fight for Their Innocence in Court
ILOILO CITY – In a press conference held on Monday, April 17, 2023, Police Executive Master Sergeant Jessie Rim Rubio and Police Staff Sergeant Enrico Garlito Gonzales denied the accusation that they were involved in the killing of Paloma in Barangay Calabo, Leganes on March 26, 2023.
Accompanied by their lawyer, Atty. Galvez, Rubio and Gonzales faced the media to clear their names and address the allegations that they were responsible for Paloma’s death. They refuted the claims and stated that they were innocent.
Atty. Galvez explained that his clients were at their respective homes when the crime was committed. Rubio was with his family until around 8 or 9 in the evening, while Gonzales was preparing for their family’s upcoming harvest.
The lawyer added that all allegations against his clients were baseless and merely the product of Paloma’s imagination. He further stated that Rubio and Gonzales were not familiar with the owner of the establishment involved in the case and that if the perpetrator of the crime had any resemblance to his clients, it was merely a coincidence.
Rubio and Gonzales are determined to prove their innocence in court and will not back down if Paloma fails to prove her allegations. The false accusations have caused significant damage to their reputation, families, and careers in the police force.
The two officers are facing a serious charge, and their case is being closely monitored by the public. They are confident that the truth will come out in the end, and they will be vindicated
