ILOILO CITY – In a move to enhance police visibility and response time in Iloilo City, the Local Government Unit (LGU) turned-over six brand new patrol cars to the Iloilo City Police Office (ICPO) on April 17, 2023. The turn-over ceremony was held after the Flag-raising Ceremony at the New Iloilo City Hall in Plaza Libertad.

The vehicles were formally turned-over by Hon. Jerry P. Treñas, City Mayor, to ICPO through PCOL Joeresty P Coronica, City Director, and NUP Ma. Myla Gustilo, City Supply Accountable Officer (CSAO). The six Toyota Hilux 4×4 vehicles will be assigned to the Mobile Patrol Unit of the ICPO to enhance their capacity to patrol the seven districts of Iloilo City on a 24-hour basis.

The turn-over of these new patrol cars is a testament to the continued support of the LGU to the ICPO and its mission to maintain peace and order in the city. PCOL Coronica expressed his gratitude for the donation and said, “This is a huge help in sustaining our intensified police operations against all forms of criminality and immediate response to emergency calls or police assistance.”
