ILOILO CITY — Tragedy struck the Nacion family in the peaceful Barangay Ginot-an, San Joaquin, Iloilo, as an elderly man lost his life at the hands of his own son. Loreto Nacion, 68, was brutally killed on Saturday afternoon, April 15, 2023, leaving his family shattered and seeking justice for his untimely death.

According to Police Corporal Brend John Chicano of the San Joaquin Municipal Police Station, Joemark Nacion, 30, returned home that fateful afternoon and informed his father that the animals had been taken care of and he would be going out with his friends.

However, Loreto refused to grant him permission, leading to a heated argument between father and son.

Unfortunately, matters quickly escalated, and Joemark attacked his father, hitting him on the back of his head and face, inflicting fatal injuries.

As a result, Joemark has been taken into custody at the San Joaquin Municipal Police Station, where he is currently facing charges of parricide.
