Police seize Php74,800 worth of suspected shabu in drug buy-bust operation in Molo
ILOILO CITY – In a successful drug buy-bust operation conducted by Molo PNP on Sunday, April 16, 2023, Php74,800 worth of suspected shabu was seized in Barangay Kasing-Kasing, Molo.
Captain Benjie Dicen, the head of Molo PNP, led the operation which resulted in the arrest of Abraham “Alyas Bambam” Enrique, a 43-year-old unemployed resident of Brgy. Kasing-kasing, Molo, and Elezarre Gonzales, a 41-year-old call center agent and resident of Malipayon Village, Brgy. Tiza, Roxas City, who was temporarily staying at Enrique’s house.
According to the report of Molo PNP, Enrique sold a plastic sachet of suspected shabu worth Php3,000 to an undercover police officer, resulting in the recovery of four more sachets of suspected shabu. Meanwhile, Gonzales was found in possession of one sachet of suspected shabu.
The total weight of the illegal drug was estimated to be 11 grams.
The suspects are currently under the custody of Molo PNP and will face charges under Republic Act 9165, also known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002
