The substation, with a capacity of 30/36MVA, is capable of unmanned operation and can be controlled and operated off-site from MORE Power’s control center, making it highly dependable and efficient. It is also SCADA-ready, which means it can communicate with other substations in the area, enabling seamless and coordinated operation.

The project is part of MORE Power’s efforts to modernize and improve the electric service infrastructure in Iloilo, making it more reliable, adequate, stable, and competitively priced. It is also aligned with the city government’s vision of becoming one of the top most livable highly urbanized cities in the Philippines by 2028.

The substation is strategically located in a key business district and is expected to have a positive impact on the local economy by providing cost-efficient electricity service to businesses and residents in the area. This, in turn, is expected to attract more investment and create more job opportunities for the people of Iloilo.

The project is a result of the collaboration between MORE Power, Megaworld Corporation, and the Iloilo City Government, and is a great example of what can be achieved through public-private partnerships. It is a testament to the power of collaboration and cooperation in advancing the public interest, and is something that other cities and regions can learn from.
