Government Insider Busted: Over 100K Worth of Drugs Seized in Jaro
ILOILO CITY – In an early morning operation today, April 12, 2023, a drug personality was arrested and 17 grams of shabu worth Php 115,600 were seized in Brgy. San Isidro, Jaro, Iloilo City.
The suspect, identified as Stewart Macatual y Pineda, a member of Iloilo City Government’s ICAST and a resident of Brgy. Rizal, Lapuz, Iloilo City, was apprehended by the ICPS 3 SDET led by PCPT Lester L Oliveros. The arrest was made with the use of a body-worn camera after Macatual sold one piece of heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet containing white crystalline substance believed to be shabu to a police poseur-buyer for Php 15,000.
Aside from the buy-bust money, the authorities were able to recover seven pieces of heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet containing white crystalline substance suspected to be shabu, a brown pouch, a Cherry Mobile Phone, and a Motorstar motorcycle.
Macatual was informed of the nature of his offense and his constitutional rights under the Miranda doctrine in a dialect known to him. He is currently detained in the ICPS 3 Custodial Facility.
