PCSO Vehicle Overturns in Iloilo: Driver and Passenger Survive

ILOILO CITY – A road accident occurred in Sitio Tanagan, Barangay Tiolas, San Joaquin, Iloilo on Monday, April 3, 2023, involving a vehicle from the Philippine Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) and a pickup truck. The PCSO vehicle, driven by William Centina Jr., a 40-year-old resident of Barangay Giso, Calinog, Iloilo, was on its way to San Jose, Antique, while the pickup truck, driven by Roger Briol, a 32-year-old resident of Barangay Igbalangao, Bugasong, Antique, was heading to Iloilo for an important transaction.

Police Corporal Brend John Chicano, the investigator at the San Joaquin Municipal Police Station, said that Centina was driving from his home to his work at the PCSO when the accident occurred. As Centina approached a slightly downhill stretch of the road, he lost control of the vehicle, which collided with a large rock on the side of the road, causing the vehicle to flip over and hit another passing vehicle.

Thankfully, both drivers survived the accident, with Centina only suffering minor injuries. No complaints have been filed about the incident, and both drivers have agreed to settle the matter privately.
