Progressive Forces Unite for United People Sona on President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.’s SONA 2023″
ILOILO CITY — In a bid to voice the concerns of various sectors challenging the government’s system, the progressive group, United People’s Sona, led by Bagong Alyansang Makabayan, will hold a momentous event on Monday, July 24, coinciding with the State of the Nation Address or SONA.
In a recent interview with Radyo Bistado, Lucy Francisco, the Regional chairperson for Gabriela Party List, revealed that the event will be attended by representatives from 21 diverse organizations. The group plans to stage four key programs in front of the University of the Philippines, Ungka Jaro, Barangay Bantud, Lapaz, with subsequent parades leading to the Iloilo Provincial Capitol.
Emphasizing the legitimacy of their demonstration, United People’s Sona has diligently prepared ample documentation to support their right to protest on the streets.
